Montréal March Break Getaway!

Montréal March Break Getaway!

The boys have been begging to stay in a hotel for quite some time now so my husband and I thought that March Break would be the perfect time for a little getaway to Montréal!

We arrived at Le Centre Sheraton Montréal Hotel and after settling in to our room, we headed up to the Club Lounge for some evening snacks.  There was a large selection and we all enjoyed several choices!

The next morning we returned to the Club Lounge for breakfast where we found many choices to suit us all.  The kids were especially fascinated by the automatic pancake maker, so easy to use and they could make the pancakes themselves!  After breakfast we decided to check out the pool facilities which was a beautiful space that the kids wanted to visit again and again!

After a swim, our first stop of the day was Espace pour la vie to visit the Biodome.  We explored 5 different eco-systems, learning about the different plants and species in each.  Some of our favourites were the Atlantic Sturgeon and the River Otter!

Next stop was the Olympic Park where we rode to the top of the Montréal Tower in a glass-encased funicular.  We enjoyed a spectacular view of the city from the Tower Observatory, 165m up from the ground!

We then decided to relax in the comforts of our hotel room for the rest of the afternoon before enjoying dinner at L’Usine de Spaghetti in Montréal’s Old Port. A great place for the family to enjoy a delicious pasta dinner!  Montréal’s Old Port is beautiful at night!

The next morning, we again enjoyed a tasty breakfast in the Club Lounge at the hotel and went to check out the Montréal Science Centre. There was so much for the kids to see and do!  Their favourite part was the Human exhibition which was very interesting and interactive!

The Science Centre was our last stop on our mini March Break getaway to Montréal. A beautiful hotel, great food and so many fun family activities made our Montréal getaway unforgettable!  Needless to say, after our fun-filled weekend, the kids were asleep before we were even out of the city!
