Cheesy Bacon Brussels Sprouts

These brussels sprouts are so good that even your kids will love them!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb brussels sprouts halved
  • 4 strips bacon chopped
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2/3 cup shredded cheese divided

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375F
  • In an oven safe skillet, fry bacon pieces over medium heat
  • Remove bacon bits from skillet and drain bacon fat from skillet, leaving 1 tbsp in pan
  • Melt butter in pan and add brussels sprouts, season with salt and pepper
  • Cook for 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally
  • Add garlic and stir for 1 minute
  • Add heavy cream and reduce heat to low
  • Simmer for 4-5 minutes or until sprouts are tender
  • Add bacon and 1/3 cup of cheese, stir to mix
  • Top with remaining cheese and bake for 15 minutes

Notes

You can also turn on the broiler for the last 5 minutes if you want to brown the cheese on top!
